I am a typical adult amateur rider trying to not mess up my horse. I have absolutely no talent for riding, but I do have a lot of desire and a good support team in my trainer and instructor, my friends, and family. This blog will chronicle one year in my dressage journey. It will include exercises from my lessons that have help me, insights I pick up from big name trainers and judges, and how I deal with the trials and tribulations of training a horse. My hope is that you learn something from my mistakes and my successes; that you find it entertaining, and most of all, realize that you are not alone in your riding struggles.

This is my second attempt to chronicle my riding. Check out my book “A Year In the Life of My Horse” on Kindle and the Nook. It is a diary of 2009 on my previous horse. Enjoy!
