Summer Cold

I now know why I got dizzy riding on Tuesday.  It wasn’t particularly hot and I did drink water but I felt like I had a little heat exhaustion when I dismounted. The ride also didn’t go all that well.  The reason…I have a cold.  It hit me yesterday.  Not fun.

I decided not to ride yesterday to give my body a chance to rest. I’m going to try to ride today but I don’t hold out much hope for a good one.  At my last lesson on Sunday, we worked on a circle.  I couldn’t believe how much my hands move when I think they aren’t, or how I let his outside shoulder bulge, or how I don’t have his left hind stepping under him, or…  Circles are amazing at telling us what is wrong.  If the circle isn’t perfectly round, then something isn’t right.
